QUESTION 1: Creating a movable vehicle -Task one
1.1
PLEASE USE YOUR OWN WORDS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Playful project-based learning encourages higher order thinking and
problem-solving skills. It helps in allowing a child to demonstrate his/her
, capabilities while working independently. When the child is both physically
and cognitively engaged, he/she learns better. It develops the child’s ability
to work with the peers and this embraces team work. It also helps both the
child and the teacher to reach out beyond school building.
1.2. Think about all the different things you learnt while making this vehicle
and explain them.
- I have learnt that in order to make a good moving car using wires, I need
to have the basic skills of shaping and straightening the wires. I have learnt
that this kind of project are important to the children and are fun. It takes
time to finish the car and if needs one to have patience. I have learnt that
in order to get the shape right I need to draw it first, and while building my
project I need to measure the wires. Several things can prevent the car
from working well. If the wheels are not aligned properly, the can wobble
or jam and prevent the car from rolling smooth.
1.3. Why are playful learning environments important for all learners, no
matter their age or grade? Refer to the literature in your answer.
- A playful learning environment is necessary element of healthy
development for all learners of all age. It offers learners the opportunity to
learn about the elf, others and the physical environment. It encourages
aspects of social, emotional, cognitive and physical development that
cannot be achieved any other way. Learners build important knowledge
that encompasses many developmental domains. Even in the earliest
years, children become familiar with words by playing with books or other
materials that have letters on them.
