1. The poem African animals is about African animals such as the zebra,
elephants, monkeys, giraffes, and crocodiles and it describes how each animal is
or what it does. For example, “zebras have stripes” and “monkeys do away in the
trees.” The content of the poem is appropriate for Foundation phase, because it
contains rich rhymes at the end of each line of the poem
