Dear recruiter at Linear Clinical Research,
Currently, I am a first-year biomedical science student majoring in microbiology at UWA
who has experience in a laboratory setting and thus, contacting you to express interest in
applying for a role as a clinical trial assistant.
During my first year as a university student, I gained self-motivation to work with laboratory
equipment and handle specimens with great care. I have experience working in teams and
inventory management. Most recently I have demonstrated and practiced inventory
management in volunteering with Fair Game in Bassendean, I learnt that inventory
management is a critical part of maintaining organisation when it comes to meeting
multiple deadlines in the workforce.
During my late Highschool years, I was involved in the 714 squadron as an Airforce cadet
where we worked as a unit in fieldcraft and drill parade, during this time I learnt how to
work carefully, think creatively, and collaborate openly with other cadets. I often use these
cooperative skills in my day to day and current roles. I also have proficient verbal and
written communication skills which I have learnt from my certificate II hospitality course in
year 12 and am comfortable using a task pad to ensure all activities are completed to high
standards.
Additionally, I focus with great attention to detail and value quality over quantity wherever I
go, whether it is volunteering at my institution’s guild or operating in the workforce. I can
also ensure clinical activities and assessments are conducted effectively and efficiently in a
timely manner as well as apply protocols and standards of best practice.
This is my first official employment, and I would be delighted if my application is successful. I
am available for an interview at your convenience. Preferably, I would like to work in the
Nedlands Campus please. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kindest regards,
Ashton Ang
