Patching is essential particularly when it is done and handled properly by the
organizations. Appropriate handling of the patching might result in significant benefits, however,
if handled badly then it might result in various problems to the organization (Nicastro, 2011). At
Drotos Engineering company, patching is important, the organization should have a better Patch
management strategy that will help in ensuring that the systems as well as the applications of the
organizations remains up-to-date. Some of the patch management that this company can adopt

In this regard, the network administrators will have to ensure constant monitoring of the
network if possible, on hourly basis. The monitoring process will take into consideration virtual
routers, switches among others. After that, they will be required to provide a report regarding the
current situation as well as the health condition of the network, this report has to be provided
constantly (Nicastro, 2011). Additionally, the database administrators will also have to monitor
the database also on an hourly basis while providing a report to the top management on a weekly
basis. Lastly, the systems administrator will be responsible for monitoring the systems on a
hourly basis while also providing the report regarding the situation of the systems as well as the
condition of the applications continuously.
