The article makes extensive analysis of what it takes for pain management whether at old or young age. The authors contend that pain of whichever kind, has become a big challenge not only in America but also globally. Many people are today finding it difficult to contain the challenge since many of the prescribed interventions have arguably not worked out as envisage. Many research projects have been carried out to show how a number of ways can be used to control this challenge. In this article the researcher hypothesis that patient education is the best thing to do since sometimes the prescribed drugs may fail to work. Summary of Research With an estimated number of at least 1 out of every 3 citizens in America today, it means that the challenge of body pain has become a serious threat to many people. It is this recognition that has made the citizens together with the authorities to come up with several diversified intervention programs. At the start of this article, the author begins by exploring the health revolution which is being launched in Australia. The describes how an athletic event is used to not only raise funds towards treatment of the health problem but also used for increased public awareness. In 2017 it is when the first cyclist revolution began when over 500 of them took the road to cycle in towns and villages educating the people on the best ways, they can use to alleviate body pains with less reliance on drugs (Ramin, 2019). The first training program which had been organized by the cyclists has been lauded as a success owing to the number of people it has already trained and have reported positive progress in their fight against body pains. It is this expensive medical care that sometimes makes some clients to fail to undertake substantive medication as they won’t be able to afford it (Barry, Bradley, Britten, Stevenson & Barber, 2000). However, as the author postulates in her article, with proper public education and sensitization, such people will be in a good position to minimize such extraneous expenses. The primary purpose of this study is to explore ways through which body pains can be managed in a cost-effective manner without resorting to expensive medication processes. Design and Method of Study The author uses a number of methods and designs in trying to get to her hypothesis. Notably, she uses both semi-experimental research design as well as correlational method in her study. To enable her back up her findings with more concrete arguments, she also relies on reviews of works which had been done previously by other academics. In both the semi- experimental and correlational methods, the authors basically want to bring out the practicality of what she calls ‘patients’ engagement’. She narrates to the readers what other countries are trying to do with regards to nurturing and fostering non-medicinal treatments to body pains. In this description, she relies not on literature reviews but on observable programs trends which can be analyzed and predicted by scholars. It is the use of these methods that give her work a sense of practicality since the recommendations have been tried and tested in other jurisdictions. The review method in this study is used to augment the practical observations with some scholastic observations and recommendations (Maxwell, 2008). The author of the article reviews some past literary works which were have been done by other scholars with regards to pain management. I support the author in using these methods of research since they are mutually reinforcing of each other. The author has some variables in the course of her research. A variable like cost is not clearly shown how it tied with quest for medication. This should have involved comparing disposal incomes of different households. This is because different people have different incomes which determine whether they are capable of accessing medical treatment when they have body pains. The author ought to have explained how the dependent variables normally fluctuate and affect the independent ones. Ethical Dimension I strongly believe that this was an ethically sound research project. This is primarily because it investigates on how to minimize pain without necessarily using drugs as has conventionally been the case. The author is critical in what she terms as ‘ineffective’ methods of treatment of body pain. The sanctity of human life should not be breached by the fact that one cannot afford medical expenses.
