Summative Assessment- Critical Analysis of “Some Lessons from the Assembly Line”
“Some Lessons from The Assembly Line” by Andrew Braaksma is about the author’s experience and insight he provides from working a temp blue-collar job at an automotive plant during his breaks from college. Although he chose to do this work, he mentions how most college students overestimate their time and knowledge and emphasizes his feelings towards an education. This article’s main claim puts the importance and value of having a college education into perspective because it provided insight into the difficulties and disparities between blue-collar work conditions and life on a college campus, provided a preview of what his life would be if he decided not to go to college, and expressed his appreciation concerning the lessons he learned working alongside others without an education
