1.1) The first paragraph is relates to the text’s subtitle ‘’ Nature Returns to the
cities,’’ as it features a number of species there including raccoons , which have
been known to break into residences in New York through the front door and raid
refrigerators. Mountain lions have been spotted in Southern California cooling
down beneath lawn sprinklers and breaking into homes close to Disneyland.
Ultimately, beavers cause traffic snarls, tree falls and tree gnawing in Chicago.
’The nature is all over the America’s urban centers.
1.2) The thesis statement the nature returns to the city was formulated based on
Anne Matthews, describes incidents as she explores the resurgence of wild life in
new York and other cities. Secondly Anne Matthews defined wild nights as ‘’ The
moment humans stop saying ‘ aww’ and start dialing 911.’’ Considering that
there were too many animals in the city. According to Anne Matthews , the
passage of the clean Air Act in 1970 and the clean water Act in 1972 contributed
to the growth of American cities. These laws of environmental protection that
helped make air safe to breathe and water safe to drink also made cities more
hospitable to wildlife.
