Discuss why you have decided to complete your BSN at this time, and the concerns you have about completing your baccalaureate degree. Based on the readings in the course materials, what strategies can you implement to be a successful student? My journey of becoming a nurse started in late 2015 when I started the LVN program and I have been in school nonstop since. After completing my LVN program, I did all the necessary prerequisites to get into the RN ADN program and recently graduated in July 2018 and just passed my boards 2 weeks ago. During my RN program, I was fortunate to have had classmates that studied with me from sun up to sun down and we all had a good study routine and I do not want to lose that momentum. I have decided to complete my BSN program at this time because I have the opportunity to continue my education. I believe that furthering my education will enhance my knowledge and skill set for my patients. Also, after looking for a job, it was very obvious that many employers in the hospital setting are looking to hire nurses with a BSN. The concerns I have about completing my baccalaureate degree is that I haven’t worked in awhile, so starting a new job and a new program might be challenging. Also, because this is a new system for me, I will have to adjust to how everything works online
