Chalazion - Chronische steriele, granulomateuze ontsteking
- Pijnloos
- Soms astigmatisme
- Gevuld met lipogranuloma
- Oorzaak: verstopte Meibom klier of andere sebaceous klier of sebum
kan niet weg en hoopt op
- Behandeling: weghalen of steroïde injectie (te dicht bij traanpunt) of
systemische tetracycline
Epidermale inclusie - Cyste na trauma of OK
cyste - Epidermis groeit in dermis
- Langzame groei
- Rond, stevig, oppervlakkige of subcutane laesie
- Bevat keratine
Dermoïd cyste - Subcutaan of dieper
- Vast aan periosteum (lateraal) aan het eind van de wenkbrauw
- Ontstaat tijdens embryonale ontwikkeling
- Keratiniserend epitheel
- Behandeling: diverse (zie onder tabel)
Sebaceous (pilar) cyste
Epidermoïd cyste - Mobiele subcutane of dermale massa
- Ophoping van geschilferde cellen en keratine
- Behandeling: complete excisie (sparing overliggende huid)
Cyst van Zeis - Klein, niet doorschijnend
- Anteriore ooglidrand
- Oorzaak: verstopte sebaceous klier
- Associatie met wimper (haar)zakje
