Pancreas
,Introduction
● Pancreas is a soft lobulated, elongated exoendocrine gland.
● Exocrine part secretes pancreatic juice, while endocrine part secretes insulin, glucagon, etc.
● It is J-shaped.
Location
It lies retroperitoncally more or less transversely on the posterior abdominal wall at the level of LI and L2
vertebrae.

From right to left, pancreas is divided into 4 parts:
▪ Head
▪ Neck
▪ Body
▪ Tail
