Employability and personal skills are really important to OTC. These skills incelusde: susitable
qusalifceatonss, knowledge in produscetseservicees and efecetveness in meetng personal and team
department targets. For OTC these skills will be important to retenton of stafs, beceausse OTC is
a professional tustorial ceollege with the responsibility of teacehing stusdents to a high level and
helping gaining them their qusalifceatons. When OTC is recerusitng new staf the HR department
will want to ensusre that ceandidates have right employability skillss, whiceh incelusde: teacehing and
susbjecet qusalifceatons. In additon to thats, it is ussefusl when new staf have work experiencee in
teacehing stusdents on speceifce ceousrses. OTC staf will also be expeceted to be able to work as a
part of teams, have good interpersonal skills and be able to ceooperate with others.

Strong knowledge of the susbjecet being tausght is essental. Every teaceher at OTC will have a
degree in the susbjecet tausght. All teacehers at OTC cean ceontrol the celasses and teaceh stusdents
afecetvely. In additon to thats, teacehers at OTC will ensusre that stusdents are making progress
within their susbjecet and they will be able to ceomplete all of their work to the deadlines and
attend exams when neceessary.
Experiencee
When OTC is recerusitng new stafs, they will be looking for people with experiencee in teacehing in
a speceifce susbjecet and also who have tausght internatonal stusdents as well as English speaking
stusdents. This is important to OTC beceausse the ceollege’s repustaton relies on the ability of highly
experienceed and ceompetent teacehers to be able to motvate and enceousrage all of their
stusdentss, as well as ceomplete the assessments aceceusrately.
Personal skills
When OTC is recerusitng new teaceherss, they will cehecek dusring the interview if the ceandidates
have experiencee in working as a part of team. This is beceausse it is important for OTC staf
