M2) Explain the advantages and disadvantages of using professional agencies in ensuring
promotonal successꃐ
Advantages:
The agency will have experience and knowledge in the industry. The agency
will have experienced staf with the right skills who have worked for many
years in the promotion industry. Therefore, the agency will provide the client
with a high quality s service form professional and qualifed employees.
The client would be totally satisfed, as he/she won’t need to buy any
equipment in order to produce an advert. The reason for that is because the
agency will have all equipment that is required in order to produce an advert.
In addition to that, the client wouldn’t have to employ any staf, as the
agency will have their own team and campaign.
Advertising agencies will decide on the best options for a product. This is
media buying, when the agency chooses to run the campaign through
commercials, magazines or news papers, etc. In addition to that the agency
will have highly developed communication channels and will have a better
understanding of what the clients need for their advertisement.
The agency will be more creative, because of their highly qualifed workers
and creative specialists. The agency will know exactly what type of an advert
customers will be interested in and the promotional campaign will become
successful for the client who ordered an advert.
Also, the agency can conduct research on the target market of the company
that they are making the advertisement for.The agency will create the advert
which will take time, however the result will look professional and
appropriate.
Disadvantages:
Only large and high proftable companies will be able to aford to use a
professional agency Therefore, using an agency will be more expensive than f
if the business actually flms an advert themselves. The reason for that is
because an agency has to pay their employees and also make some proft
from creating an advert.
Another disadvantage of using agency is the time taken to produce an actual
advert. The reason for that is because the agency may also have other
clients. The agency and the company will have to ensure that they
understand each other clearly, in order to have no confusions and then
problems. In addition to that, the agency will take some time to create an
actual idea for the advert and then flm it.
Sometimes an agency might not understand the client brief and the advert
might not be what the client asked for. The reason for that I ccould be
because, the agency may not be so familiar with the company, as a
consequences of that there might be some problems understanding and
communicating the correct information.
