Interviews with the three philosophers were recently made possible by my recent casual participation in progressive gender movements and campaigns. Simone de Beauvoir was a feminist author and philosopher from France, born in Paris in 1908 and lived a lifetime of 80 years. De Beauvoir is widely recognized for her seminal work, "The Second Sex," in which she explored the cultural and societal construction of femininity and advocated for women's freedom (Vintges, 2019).
