In this task I will be doing installation of the software and hardware below;
Hard disk installation.
Heat sink/ processor.
RAM.
Nitro pro.
Google chrome.
Java.
Hard disk installation.
Most of PC users need to install a new internal hard drive in their computer since
it is better than using external hard drive that are slower and may be misplaced.
The following are the steps which I followed when installing hard drive in the pc.
1. I configure the hard drive as a master.
2. Mount the hard drive in the computer chases. I secure the drive to a cage
using four screws on the sides of the drive.
3. I connect the hard drive with SATA.
Once the hard drive is mounted in the case, connect it the system
is quick and easy. I used SATA cable to connect the hard drive to
the mother board.
, Then I connect the other end of the data cable to the motherboard,
4. I connect the power cable to the drive.
,Proccesor installation.
This is the central part of the computer. It is considered as a brain of
the computer. It is located in the circuit of computer mother board. It
controls all data transfer and instruction. The following are the steps
which I followed to install CPU;
1. I open computer case then I remove the heat sink to get into
place where CPU need to be located.
2. Then I line up the notches and place the processor on its soccet. I
ensure the socket is installed in correct positions.
, 3. Gently lay the processor into a soccet with out apply pressure.
RAM INSTALLATION.
RAM is volatile memory, it keeps its data while device is powered on and lost data when
power when off. RAM is used to store data temporary while program are running. The
following are the steps which I followed in connecting RAM;
Firstly, I confirmed that the computer supports the speed of the RAM that I want to
connect to the computer.
Then I connect my ram to the motherboard by matching colored slot line up the gap of
the bottom of the RAM in order to set it on the correct place then I press down RAM
carefully until it clicks in to the correct place. This is how I have connected the RAM to
the PC.
