Huawei is one of the biggest technological companies
china has ever seen, with a very deep history behind it. A
former Chinese army officer founded Huawei in the year
1987. At the time, the army officer had some strong
connections with the Chinese government and this
connection gave them a strong back bone, allowing them
to operate freely in the Chinese markets. The multinational
Chinese company manufactures and sells
telecommunications equipment like phones and many
other devices and is headquartered in Guangdong, China.
Huawei’s initial breakthrough occurred in the year 1993
when they launched their first controlled telephone switch and at the time, it was the most
powerful switch in the Chinese markets. In the second year of the 21 st century, Huawei
made an entry into the high end routers and switch market and this is when their revenue
started to sky rocket. All the years after that are nothing but history that is filled with
thousands of miles stones that Huawei has accomplished. Huawei had one of their
biggest setbacks of the 21st century when the USA banned their products in the USA
saying that Huawei products are a security threat. President Donald trump who is the
president of the USA imposed a solid trade ban on Huawei. However on November the
5th 2019, the USA made an agreement with Huawei saying that they would lift the ban
shortly under some conditions that Huawei would have to agree to.
