1. Which two groups are you planning to compare (2 pts)
Developing countries (Nigeria) vs developed countries (United States) from 2000-2020
2. Which data set from the ones provided in the class are you planning to use? (1
pt)
Creating a life table data sheet to compare the survivorship of different age groups in a
developing country and a developed country. I will be using a bar graph similar to what
was used in lab #6. The orange and blue lines will be representing the survivorship rate
and mortality rate for each group. One chart will have the mortality rate in orange and
the survivorship rate in blue for the developed country such as the US while the other
graph will have the same idea just for the developing country such as Nigeria.
3. What is your research question? (3 pts)
How do survivorship curves differ between developed and developing countries, and
what factors contribute to these differences in a human's lifespan
4. What is your null hypothesis? (4 pts)
There is no significant difference in the survivorship curves between developed and
developing countries.
