At the social level, peacebuilding involves creating inclusive, respectful communities where diversity is valued and people work together to resolve conflicts constructively. Globally, peacebuilding means fostering cooperation among nations, promoting human rights, reducing inequalities, and supporting diplomacy instead of violence. Peace at the social level refers to the state of harmony, mutual respect, and absence of conflict within a society or community. It means that groups of people live together without violence, discrimination, or hostility, and work towards common goals and wellbeing. It’s about everyone feeling safe, respected, and treated fairly.
