Gate – is a logic circuit with one or more input signals but only one output signal this signals are either
low or high voltages.



Low Voltage – 0 , High Voltage – 1

Type of Gates

1. INVERTER (NOT GATE)
2. OR GATE
3. AND GATE
4. NOR GATE (NOT OR)
5. NAND GATE (NOT AND)
6. XOR GATE
7. XNOR

Inverter (Not Gate)

• one input, one output as per definition of gate
• Output is always the opposite state from the input

• is a gate with 2 or more input signals with one output
• Input signal is High the output signal is High
