, Introduction
The Super Bowl is one of, if not the most important Football game of the year, it is
the name by which we all know the national championship of the National Football League.
But now “The Super Bowl has gone from a high-profile football game to a complete
pop-culture event. It’s a spectacle. All NFL fans watch the Big Game whether their team is in
it or not.” 1. Supporting Document #4 also mentions that those who watch the Super Bowl
are excited to see the best commercial, or biggest movie trailers of the year, or in this case,
even get a glimpse of their favorite pop star.
“Born on December 13, 1989, Taylor Swift has been making waves in pop culture
since she first came onto the country music scene in 2006 with her self-titled debut album.
Since then, she has remained a constant in the cultural zeitgeist.” 2 This essay will present an
analysis of swift’s impact in the viewership of Super Bowl 58 in comparison to the 57th. This
by implementing a SWOT analysis to see if this has really impacted as much as it is believed.
Then, utilizing a force field analysis to identify and evaluate the forces driving and
restraining this change to determine the extent to which Taylor Swift’s influence benefited the
NFL.
