Methadone/ Narcotic withdrawal
→ Long acting opioid similar to heroin in it properties.
→ Clinic must be licensed and counseling available.
→ Used to decrease criminal behavior and drug craving.
→ Patient must have been opioid dependent for 1 year and not have benefited
from drug free treatment.
→ Patient remains physically dependent but are free from uncontrolled,
compulsive, disruptive behavior.
