AQA • EPQ

This is my dissertation for my EPQ in 2019, I received full marks (A*). This is a biochemistry and human biology based dissertation so can be used as a perfect example of how to write, structure and complete the extended writing portion of the EPQ.

A table covering all of the resources I used, including the document title, date accessed and a summary of what each piece of data is about and how I used this learning throughout my project. Part of the appendices which achieved an A* grade and relates to A02 of the specification for AQA.

A document with print screens of the PowerPoint presentation and notes on what to say during each slide of the presentation. This applies to mainly A04 of the AQA specification. It acts as an interactive summary for your audience following the journey of how you came about to write your dissertation. It ends with an evaluation of my experience and a reference list.

A full EPQ dissertation in which I received full marks (50/50). This EPQ meets all aspects of the AQA specification, guaranteeing top marks on the bulk of the EPQ (40%). The full title is "Treating Monsters with Kindness: Can we Treat Psychopathy?" and was written to perfectly link to the subjects of Psychology by addressing subjects studied in A-Level Psychology, including operant conditioning and CBT. The full title is: "How real-estate companies like Emaar Properties have changed the UAE this past decade" and is A* content- for my own EPQ, I achieved full marks (50/50) and obtained an A* grade. This EPQ was written for the Dubai specification, meaning the word limit was 3000 words rather than the UK's 5000 (however, the EPQ has never been submitted so can be copied word-for-word). This is a good example of how to prove your research/reasoning as you complete your EPQ. Hits A01, A02 and A04 of the AQA specification. Referencing is Harvard Style. 16 pages showing how to properly reference/log/rate/organise your research. This system is an efficient and easy method for your EPQ research. In this case it is for a 9000 word biology essay (also on stuvia if you're interested) but this will work for any subject.
