Definition of learning disability and what professionals can assist them. Diagnostic tools to determine what disability a person may have such a: dyslexia, ADHD and dyspraxia have also been referenced and defined. This document also uses acts, legislation and polices to explore standards of practice and how to best support people with learning difficulties and why it is important.

P2 defines disability and expands in-depth the current effects that physical and mental impairments can have on people. This coursework covers the challenges people have in day-to-day life providing legislations, frameworks and policies. It also expands on each barrier and how professionals will assess someone's needs using a Common Assessment Framework.

P4 explains a range of professional support for people with additional needs. M4 states what support can be put in place for both long and short term care and expands on the benefits of these. Barriers such as transport and employment have also been stated and how professionals can help people with additional needs overcome these barriers.
