Printing Technology encompasses the theory and application of conventional and digital printing technologies, with an emphasis on understanding press systems operations. From either traditional sheetfed or high-speed web-fed to digital output, the preparation and output of graphical information will be addressed through lectures, simulated lab activity, and plant visitations captured on video.

In this 7-week online course, we focus on designing for the optimal web user experience. We examine how users interact with websites, and how to create designs that focus on positive user experiences. We look at how to structure content on a website or web application to increase usability. We also review and discuss case studies on organizations that redesigned their websites with a focus on user-centered design.

Digital media portfolio design and production: planning, audience analysis, media selection, authoring, media formats, production, copyright considerations, marketing, and delivery.

Business practices related to the graphics industry; business models, cost analysis, marketing and management approaches.
